Four Seasons Project

Hello everyone! I'm planning on making a single sheet calendar with 4 girls symbolizing each season. Here is what i'm working on so far...almost done with Summer and Autumn and working on finishing up Winter and Spring right now.

I'm always trying to improve my Illustrator skills, its really important to keep updated with all the new tools and devices. Plus I have so much fun developing my vector style : )

I didn't update in a while! Oops, Here are some simple character doodles I did at work, (speedball acrylic ink with brushes and an assortment of Windsor & Newton watercolors also my favorite color Fragonard Burnt Sienna ) there's Arya with needle and Sansa being an airhead.

I really hated the books when I'd first started reading them but then I grew to like them. I finished the last book (which came out on my 22nd birthday ^^) in about 3 weeks and I was purposely reading slowly. Anyway, I'll draw more characters if I get bored at work. (VERY LIKELY)

This is my computer named Holge, the other one is named Helge. I need to get Snow Leopard for both so that I can play Civilization V but I don't want to have to re-install everything : < I like to keep my desktop clean and organized unlike Johan who has 50 tabs open in Chrome while he's running Photoshop, Maya, Steam and a hundred other programs all at the same time. Anyway, only three more weeks of school left including this week. I feel a terrible scary lurch in my stomach when I think of all the work I have to finish...4 classes while working 25hrs a week at the same time... Help! Good thing I bought a coffee machine!!

Finally finished and submitted yesterday, the deadline was extended so I was very lucky. I made this in my Ill 3 class on Wednesdays with Gordon who is awesome and always helping/ keepin it real.
Everyday I'm in class I learn something new, I really appreciate it because I went into it with a very negative attitude at first.

I dont have any toys! So I had to go to Japan town so I could get the toy bear Rilakkuma. Because I like himmmm. This was an Assignment which focused on cool and warm colors and something something like that. Brain fart cant sound intelligent....here look it came from a camera photo so it looks kind of bad quality wise. Oh and Gouache!

This was my first "perspective for animators" assignment from my instructor John Heebink (really awesome guy & helpful instructor) it was to design an interesting car using the isometric grid and create a character who was scaled with the car...he is supposed to be able to fit in it.

I imagined this little guy in his own little "kiddie" world where small people like him would drive around in their old fashioned cars. I was inspired by Mini Coopers and mostly 1970's British Leyland mini's. Again, this was my second semester at AAU, I had no idea how to draw a car and it was the first time I had seriously attempted it, my knowledge on anatomy was pretty stale too so forgive me!! My grade was B+ btw : )

Also, this is just a bad copy of a color practice I found lying around my mom's apartment so its not the original, I have no idea where the original went : <

I lost all my old work when my Hard drive crashed. I found this somewhere? I wish I had the original so I could fix that weird gun!!! I was being lazy in this class as well. I need to be non lazy! But the copy I had of Photoshop kept CRASHING and pissing me off, this was probably the best thing I did in Digital Illustration or whatever that class was called.

GUYS!~ I'm bad at photoshop...so I'm just gonna do a traditional drawing today.
Btw. I just wanted to post my Mandala from my Color & Design final since I didn't put that up yet.So this is the initial sketch I did!! The day before it was due....*warning* bad idea to do that. Procrastination Baaadd

Final image~ The CIRCLE WAS SO HARD TO CUT!!! Johan tried his best to help me, plus I was late because I also procrastinated again *Bad* But I got an A!!! : 3

I had a great time in that class~ even though I didn't really make any friends and I was mostly alone in the front of the class the whole yr. Most people scared me and said it was gonna be a KILLER class. But I actually had a really great time learning the concepts and how to mix my own colors, it was an ability I was really lacking in. SO HAPPY I LEARNED THAT STUFF! Complimentary colors etc, believe it or not I had no idea how to mix.

One thing I'd say about the class is try your best to enjoy the assignments! You have the ability to choose anything you want to design so I suggest doing something you really like because you'll be spending a good amount of time on it~ I choose little Momotaro and his 3 friends a pheasant, a monkey and a dog! I also listened to a song called "Baby Universe" alot and that made me happy ^_^

I've been drawing at least 5 sketches or more, per day. Things are getting tough because I've got only one full week of school left. I'm really excited though, because I'll be done with my 2nd semester. The image on the left is a 3PP in class assignment turned homework project. I had fun drawing it and got a little carried away with painting it etc.
Well, I just wanted to write that I'll be working on a summer project soon. I'm writing and illustrating it, which will be really hard. I've got the concept sketches and everything ready...the writing is the hard part :- ( Anyway...soon I'll have a scanner and I'll be able to post more. Again...I'm really looking forward to pimpin this blog out.

Hello There!
